The
community in New York now more efficiently coordinates
health care to their patient community. In addition,
the community is now compliant with HIPAA standards
for the exchange of electronic medical information.
Ultimately,
the goal of the system is to allow the community to
monitor outcomes, prepare predictive treatment plans
and reduce health care costs.
Key
advantages of the system are its financial sustainability
to the network in terms of lower operational costs.
Also, comprehensive patient information provides the
platform necessary for recognizing and reducing Medicare
costs.
I
have been asked to share our expertise and the status
of our project with other community health leaders.
Several questions have emerged and I would value your
input. What is the best approach for sharing our knowledge
and experiences in developing and distributing this
system to multiple rural communities? How can our
solution assist your efforts in preparation for the
impact of HIPAA regulations? How do we achieve results
that improve patient care and lower health care costs?
I
welcome the opportunity to share more information
on the wonderful progress we are making in New York.
In addition, I would enjoy discussing the issues raised
above and learning more about your initiatives and
direction of health care in your community.
I
look forward to hearing from you.
