PFG approached Soleil Technologies™ with the vision of creating a solution for their business that would instantaneously process policy transactions under umbrella insurance policies. The system would emphasize the following:

Provide insurance policy valuation routines, unit-value calculations, and automatically generate investment transactions in pool and sub-accounts

Open system architecture to accommodate ad hoc reporting and integrate to other internal systems to the application

Streamline the data input, reporting and transaction processes

Automate monthly invoicing procedures resulting from customer transactions

Create monthly and annual reports for individuals and enterprise-wide reports for the company

The Soleil Solution™
Soleils'™ intranet software solution coordinates the parameters of insurance policies and the investment process for the Philadelphia Financial Group. The open, scalable system provides fund pooling functionality and real-time account valuation. The system manages several transaction types including Premium, M&E, COI, Withdrawals, Loans, and Equity transactions and monitors account credit limits and tax status. Dealers, brokers, sales agents, policy owners and asset managers are maintained in the system which is accessible online 24x7.

The Results
Launched in December 2000, the Philadelphia Financial Group credits Soleil™ with providing them with a significant competitive advantage. The system provides faster, more effective, decision-making capability for brokers managing accounts and gives the company more flexibility in managing it's portfolio of products. Since installing this real-time portfolio management tool, the number of policies managed by the firm has increased allowing the Philadelphia Financial Group significant business growth and improved profitability.
